As a senior in college, I completed a career assessment to help me chart my way upon graduation. After spending two hours on a tedious questionnaire,  the result was revealed: "Writer/Editor." Huh, you don't say! 

I've been in (and out and back in) communications my whole career, much of it as a home and garden writer and editor in one capacity or another. While I love interior design, what I love even more is just being at home. Home is a concept that will always be important to me—the physical structure as well as the idea of it and all that happens here. It is a place I will always seek to refine, grow and document the happenings within.

I'm also a big reader, and friends often ask for book recommendations. In my mind I write long, eloquent book reviews that help people decide if they'd like to read the book as well. In reality, I'm too ready to move on to the next read. So in true something-is-better-than-nothing fashion, I decided to capture good-enough book reviews—for reading is just another creative endeavor that happens at home. You might see some of my attempts at oil painting here as well.
